Editorial Reviews
Review
"I found this book to be concise, useful, colourful, and attractive
in
its presentation and thoughtful in its content. The excellent
diagrams, whith detail where to find clinically useful landmarks and
pathologies, are also useful to give an idea of investigations that
should be performed to narrow down the differential diagnosis arising
from the history and the examination. It is ideal for medical
students
doing their surgery attachments."BMA Reviewer
strength of this book lies in its ability to deliver its educational
messages with the ample use of high quality diagrams and clinical
pictures...this book is an easy read, is very well presented and is
suited to those who wish to update themselves primarily on the value
of applied anatomy in common surgical conditions." Consultant

Book Description
This new book is designed to facilitate the comparison between normal
and abnormal anatomy, both on the surface and (by the use of
radiologic imaging) within the body. GENERAL SURGICAL ANATOMY AND
EXAMINATION explores the common problems that a surgeon may encounter
and detect not only by radiologic imaging, but also by seeing,
hearing, and feeling. Using a series of color photographs and
radiologic images (many with interpretive line drawings and overlays
to show normal and abnormal instances), the book illustrates how
anatomy, clinical history, and examination can be used to point at
the
diagnosis in patients with surgical conditions. The text is short yet
comprehensive and is closely linked to the visual presentation of the
surgical disease.
